The shelf life of our seeds varies depending on the type. For instance, seeds like Bottlebrush and many other Australian natives can remain viable for up to 5 to 7 years, while most herbs and veggies typically have a shelf life of a couple of years. It's important to note that not all the seeds in a Plantacard will lose viability all at once, and they won't suddenly expire at 4 years and 364 days! Instead, their viability gradually decreases over time.

For optimal germination results, we recommend planting your Plantacard seeds within the first 2 years. While they can still grow beyond this period, germination rates may decline. To help preserve germination rates for as long as possible, store your Plantacard in a cool, dry place, much like you would with seeds you purchase from a store that come with a 'sow by' date.

Plantacards have seeds embedded in the paper. However, in order for this to be possible, the seeds have to be small enough to stay in the paper. For example, a pea would not be a good candidate for embedding in paper, unless the paper were as thick as several layers of cardboard!

So the seeds we use are small enough to enable them to stay in the sheet once it has been made. Many Australian native trees, shrubs and flowers are suitable, as are many herbs and vegetable seeds.

The other factor which influences the seeds we use is the ability to print on the seeded paper. Many Australian natives have very small seeds (some so small that there are as many as 30,000 seeds in just one gram!) and so the seeds are easily held within the thickness of the paper, producing a relatively smooth surface for printing.

All the materials used in our Plantacards are sourced from Australian farms and suppliers, ensuring the highest quality and supporting local agriculture. We also accept payment by PayPal or Afterpay. If you decide to use either of these two methods, you’ll be taken to either the PayPal or Afterpay website, where you’ll be prompted to log in and process your payment. You’ll then be directed back to our website once your transaction is complete.

We're here to ensure you have the best experience with Plantacard. We understand that sometimes things may not go as planned, so here's how we handle different situations:

Returns: We don't accept returns for products containing seeds because of their nature.

Issues with Your Order: If you receive incorrect, damaged, or faulty goods, please get in touch with us at hello@plantacard.com.au within 7 days of receiving your order. We'll take care of the return process at our expense and send you a new replacement order. We want to make things right for you!

Change of Mind: Unfortunately, we can't offer refunds, exchanges, or credits for change of mind. However, if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us. We're always here to help you make the most of your Plantacard experience.

Important Note for Custom Orders: For custom orders, please ensure that the product you've ordered is correct because once the order is placed, it goes straight into production. If you realise you've ordered the wrong item, please notify us within 24 hours. We want to provide you with exactly what you want, and your quick communication is key to ensuring your satisfaction.

We aim to dispatch all orders within 24 hours during our business hours, which are from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

For custom orders, we strive to provide you with quick delivery for your cards, and it all depends on the artwork you supply and the total quantity ordered. To give you an idea, we usually send you a photo of your test print within 3-4 business days. Once you give us the green light, we'll get your order ready to ship within 5 to 8 business days from the approval of the artwork. Keep in mind that if there are any adjustments or if the artwork needs to be resubmitted, it might take a bit longer to complete your order. Rest assured, we'll keep you informed every step of the way!

Our commitment is to get your order to you as swiftly as possible, typically arriving within 5 business days. Rest assured, you'll receive a confirmation email as soon as your order is on its way.

Shipping Options:

• Standard (no tracking) - $2.95: If you select this option, your order will be shipped without tracking.

• Courier (with tracking) - $11.95: If you select this option, your order will be shipped via courier with tracking. For added security and peace of mind, orders over two Plantacards and custom items are shipped via courier with tracking. This ensures your order's safe and traceable delivery from our hands to yours.

Plantacards can be shipped anywhere in Australia, except for Western Australia (WA) and Tasmania (TAS). This limitation is due to strict state biosecurity regulations in WA and TAS.

For delivery to Western Australia: All seed types are ok with the exception of Lemon-scented Bottlebrush. You will need to bulk deliver the seed paper in one consignment, label "Attention Quarantine" with the scientific seed name (ie "Brachyscome iberidifolia"), and include a "sample box" that quarantine authorities can and process.

In the case of Tasmania, all seed types are ok with the exception of Lemon-scented Bottlebrush. You can apply to become a Tasmanian Approved Seed Supplier (TASS). Once approved, you'll be able to send Plantacards to TAS.

While it is possible to deliver to WA and TAS, we recommend this primarily for large national orders. If you are interested in national distribution and would like to discuss shipping to these regions, please contact us, and our team will be happy to assist you.

We want to assure you that the seed varieties we use in our paper meet the necessary quarantine restrictions required throughout Australia.

Before sending our plantable paper products internationally, please be mindful of potential quarantine restrictions. It's important to look into the specific requirements yourself if you intend to send seeded paper across borders. While we take great care to ensure our seeded paper complies with quarantine restrictions when manufactured, we cannot assume responsibility for any costs or challenges that may arise.

We offer two pricing options for printing: STANDARD and EDGE-TO-EDGE.

STANDARD PRINT is ideal for artwork that does not extend to the edge and has less than 50% ink coverage. In this case, the artwork should have a 5mm clear margin from the trimmed edge. 

For artwork that extends to the edge or has high ink coverage, EDGE-TO-EDGE PRINT is required. If your artwork prints to the edge, make sure to include a 3mm bleed with design elements extended into the bleed area.

We offer a free design serive however if you wish to create your own artwork, to expedite your order and achieve a stunning printed seed paper product, we kindly suggest following these helpful guidelines when preparing your artwork. By doing so, we can speed up the process while maintaining the utmost quality.

When designing your custom seed paper products, it's important to include planting instructions in your artwork. Here are some examples you can include:

"This paper is embedded with seeds, a mix of Swan River Daisy, Chamomile, Pink Ageratum and Alyssum. To grow, soak in water and plant under a thin layer of soil. Water regularly, keeping the paper damp until seedlings sprout."

"Grow beautiful flowers from this eco-friendly paper! Soak the paper in water until it becomes soft. Place it on a bed of fertile soil, lightly cover it with more soil, water generously, and keep the soil moist. Watch your flowers bloom within 2-4 weeks!"

"Unleash the magic of nature with this seeded paper! Soak the paper in water until it's pliable. Lay it on a pot filled with nutrient-rich soil, lightly cover it with a thin layer of soil, water regularly, and ensure the soil stays damp. Within a few weeks, witness the enchanting sprouts emerge!"

"This paper is embedded with herb seeds, ready to be transformed into a green oasis! Submerge the paper in water until it softens. Place it on a planter or directly in the ground, cover it lightly with more soil, water gently, and maintain moisture. Soon, you'll have fresh herbs right at your fingertips!"

"Plant happiness with this special seeded paper! Immerse the paper in water until it becomes soft. Lay it on a pot or garden bed filled with well-drained soil, lightly sprinkle more soil over it, water regularly, and keep the soil consistently moist. Await the joyful sprouts within a few weeks!"

"Let your love for nature bloom with this plantable paper! Soak the paper until it's soft. Place it on a sunny spot in your garden, cover it gently with soil, water generously, and ensure the soil remains damp. As days pass, watch vibrant flowers grace your surroundings and spread joy!"
