Planting Instructions

Infused with seeds, Plantacard® is an eco-friendly range of plantable greeting cards that grow into flowers, herbs, and vegetables.

Welcome to Australia’s leading brand in eco-friendly plantable greeting cards that grow into flowers, herbs, and vegetables. Plantacards makes both a wonderful keepsake and a great eco-friendly alternative to the traditional paper greeting card. Simply plant your Plantacard in a pot of soil or in the ground, water it and watch it grow.

To encourage the best possible growth success of your Plantacard, it is important the paper is kept moist (and therefore soft) until after the seeds have germinated. Many seeds are embedded in the paper and if it dries and hardens, the shoots of the newly germinating seeds will not be able to push through.

Growing Plantacards are much the same as growing a packet of seeds bought in a shop. It requires the right weather and soil conditions, patience and care! In addition to the information provided on our website, we recommend speaking with your local nursery to find out what the best planting conditions are for the seeds that are infused in your Plantacard.

Once you have researched the best planting conditions for your Plantacard, please follow the steps below.
