Planting the Seed for a Greener Tomorrow - In Partnership with UQP and Music Camp
Share

At Plantacard, we’re always looking for meaningful ways to blend storytelling with sustainability - and our latest collaboration hits all the right notes.
We’ve partnered with University of Queensland Press (UQP) to create plantable bookmarks for the launch of Music Camp, the latest children’s novel by award-winning author Penny Tangey. This fun, thoughtful read explores the highs and lows of music camp - friendship, nerves, belonging - all set against the backdrop of a growing climate crisis. It’s a story that resonates with today’s young readers and encourages them to find their voice in more ways than one.
To promote the book and its timely themes, UQP has included our eco-friendly bookmarks with review copies sent out to readers, reviewers, and educators. These bookmarks aren’t just a beautiful keepsake - they’re embedded with Australian flower seeds and designed to be planted, leaving a bloom long after the final page is turned.
You’ll also spot the bookmarks being distributed at bookstore events, launches, and signings, helping connect readers of all ages to the story’s environmental message in a hands-on way. 🌸
We’re proud to be part of this initiative - because stories have power, and so do the small actions we take every day to care for our planet.
